Just hours after announcing the F8 Spider, Ferrari unveiled the 812 GTS, presented as the best-performing convertible on the market. The 812 GTS is the convertible version of the 812 Superfast coupe and the first front-engine convertible produced by Ferrari in 50 years.

The 812 GTS inherited the stylistic choices made on the 812 Superfast model with the long headlamps and round lights at the rear; its elegant lines, instead, are inspired by the 1968 Ferrari 365 GTB4 model. However, the brand’s design team have unleashed some true artistry on this new version, which has benefitted from several revisions and corrections. A few small polishes that allow the supercar to remain elegant and void from the typical heaviness found on coupés-turned-cabriolets. The tire set is equipped with new rims, and the retractable hardtop roof can be opened within 14 seconds up to 45 km/h, just as on the F8 Spider. The interiors, on the other hand, do not differ from the coupé and the multifunctional wheel is easily recognisable. 

The new Ferrari 812 GTS retains the 812 Superfast coupé’s specs – sporting a 6.5-liter V12 engine which produces 800 horsepower and achieves a torque of up to 718 Nm – making it the most powerful convertible on the market today. The 7-speed transmission and dual-clutch configuration allow it to display a performance almost identical to the Ferrari 812 Superfast. 

The powerful V12 engine can have the supercar accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 340 km/h. Apt for sporty driving, it employs several electronic systems to support the driver, including the Ferrari Peak Performance which signals the grip limit in curves to the driver.
